Plan Staff Attorneys
If you live or work near a Plan staff office, the Plan’s legal staff will provide legal services to you.

Over 260 attorneys are employed by the Plan.

Most Plan lawyers have years of experience practicing law before they join the Plan. Our lawyers receive further training, updates on the law and concentrated experience with the type of cases the Plan handles. Each office also has one or more attorney supervisors with extensive experience and proven skills.

In addition, the Plan has attorneys who specialize in particular areas of the law and provide assistance and consultations as needed. For example, the Plan has experts in foreclosure, bankruptcy, Wills and Probate, Trusts and large estate.

HIGHLIGHTED ATTORNEY---

Erich Pavel, a staff attorney in the Plan's Burr Ridge, Illinois office, joined the Plan in March, 1985.   After obtaining a BA degree from Southern Illinois University in 1976, he entered the John Marshall Law School in Chicago, graduating in 1980.   Upon admission to the bar, Erich elected private practice and formed a small firm with a friend from law school.   He later joined the Plan with a desire to broaden his experience.

In his work with the Plan, Erich has concentrated mainly in the area of real estate and is the office's principal attorney for residential purchases and sales.   He has also helped clients perfect title to real estate obtained through tax sales and asisted them in   subdividing their properties.   Erich also practices in the area of guardianships for minor and disabled adults.   He finds that, while the issues can be emotional, it is rewarding to be able to assist clients in resolving these kinds of problems.
