UAW Legal Services Plan

The UAW Legal Services Plan is the largest pre-paid legal services program in the country.

Plan staff attorneys are represented by AFSCME and support staff are represented by OPEIU.

Highlighted Plan Attorney of the Month

The Plan’s managing and staff attorneys are a diverse group of lawyers, all dedicated to providing the highest quality of legal representation and personalized service to Plan Participants. Since our lawyers do not practice outside of their Plan jobs, they are able to devote all of their working time to the needs of Participants and their families. Many of them participate in outreach and educational activities such as UAW pre-retirement sessions and benefit fairs. All are well-qualified and receive ongoing training and supervision in their areas of practice.

Beth Everson, Lansing Michigan

Beth Everson, a lawyer in the Plan’s Lansing, Michigan office, is representative of Plan attorneys. She has almost 20 years of legal experience, 17 with the Plan. Her skill, energy and dedication to serving our clients are typical of Plan attorneys. Ms. Everson comes from a long line of union supporters. Her grandfather was active in the original founding of the UAW and her father was a long time union employee of General Motors. She worked two summers at a Fisher Body plant to help pay her way through law school. Ms. Everson has acquired a high level of legal expertise over the course of her career and is expert in many practice areas including estate planning, probate and real estate. She has received numerous accolades from clients for her legal ability and exceptional service. The Plan is proud to have Ms. Everson and the many others like her on its staff of lawyers.
